From a Wrong Turn to a Restored Vision
High View House wasn't found through a typical property search—it was found by fate.
In 2016, Nick was enjoying a day out in Barmouth when he took a wrong turn. He stumbled upon a grand Victorian residence, hidden away, overgrown, and completely abandoned. It was a "diamond in the rough" with a presence that couldn't be ignored. When the house appeared on a sales listing shortly after, Nick and his brother Steve knew it was a sign. They stepped in, and fate took over.
A Project of Passion
Since that day, we have been on a mission to bring this Victorian beauty back to life. What started as an overgrown site has become a multi-year restoration project fueled by our love for North Wales.
We didn’t just want to repair the house; we wanted to improve it for the modern traveler. Over the years, we have:

The View That Changed Everything
While the architecture of the house is grand, it was the vista that truly captured us. Standing on the balcony and looking out over the sea, or watching the tides change across the Mawddach Estuary, is an experience that never gets old.
At night, the magic continues. As the sun sets, the "Dark Sky" canopy above Barmouth reveals the galaxy in incredible detail. We designed the outdoor spaces so our guests could experience that same sense of wonder we felt back in 2016.
